PARK BENCH SPONSORSHIP
Sponsor a bench in one of our parks and leave a lasting impression in our community. Sponsors may select their preferred bench style, color, and park location. Each bench may include an engraved logo and custom text.
The West Fargo Park District will manage the ordering, installation, and placement of the bench. Your sponsorship will stay in place for the full lifespan of the bench.

Memorial Tree Program
PLANT A TREE
Are you interested in planting a tree in memory or honor of someone special? With our Memorial Tree Program, you will pick from our list of trees, pick your location, and our forestry staff will plant your tree adding a plaque in which you can personalize. Beyond that, we will care for that tree for life.
Golf Tournament

Grab your clubs and join us for the annual Play FORE the Parks, a fundraising event for the West Fargo Parks & Recreation Foundation! It’s a great way to support the West Fargo Parks and Recreation Foundation, connect with the community, and enjoy a fun-filled day of golf.

- Location: Maple River Golf Club – 3666 163rd Ave SE, Mapleton, ND
- Team Fee: $500 per team (4 players)

Founded in 2020, the West Fargo Parks & Recreation Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to working alongside the West Fargo Park District to enhance our community through donations from generous supporters. These contributions help fund projects and improvements that might not be possible without your support, creating recreational opportunities that are inclusive of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds. Through the Foundation’s efforts, we strive to ensure a bright and welcoming future for our parks and recreation spaces for generations to come.

We realize that giving is a very personal decision, and we appreciate any level of commitment. Donations to the West Fargo Fargo Parks & Recreation Foundation are welcome at any time. If you have thought about giving but are uncertain about the impact your gift might have, please consider the following options:
UNRESTRICTED
Non-specified donations to the West Fargo Parks & Recreation Foundation in which the Board of Directors will allocate the dollars to a specific use.
DESIGNATED
A donation given to the Foundation to be used directly for a specific purpose.
TRIBUTE
A donation made in honor or in memory.

CHARITABLE GIFT GIVING
Our legal title is West Fargo Parks and Recreation SOS control ID# 0003004385 as a corporation – nonprofit – domestic. Any gifts for project needs, or endowments are federally tax deductible. Cash gifts may qualify for up to a 50% deduction of your adjusted gross income with a possible carryover, applied within five years. State of ND residents and businesses may qualify for a 40% tax credit on a West Fargo Parks & Recreation Foundation Endowment of $5,000 or greater, with a possible excess credit carryover of three years.
Donations may be dropped off in person or mailed to the West Fargo Park District Administrative Offices.

FOUNDATION LEADERSHIP
The West Fargo Parks and Recreation Foundation was founded as a non-profit partner for the West Fargo Park District and fueled by the energy of civic leaders whose efforts are directed toward the betterment of the community of West Fargo. The purpose of the Foundation is not a replacement of tax-based services but to use funding to fill the gaps that municipal funding may not provide.
