Adult Volleyball

DIVISION/ LEVEL INFORMATION

VOLLEYBALL

Have a hard time deciding which division to sign up for? Keep in mind what levels of players you have on your team when deciding. Read below for a basic guide of the divisions and levels with descriptions.

Depending on how many teams/players sign up each night, there will be an Upper(A/B) Division going and a Middle/Lower(C/D) going.

A Division

Advanced Upper

Designed as a highly competitive division. Players should have strong volleyball background with organized playing experience. Teams consist of multiple offensive and defensive strategies with consistent hitting and blocking. Most players have collegiate playing experience and a highly accomplished skill level.

B Division

Upper

A competitive division for teams looking to play quality, fast-paced volleyball. Players in this division have above average volleyball skills. Teams use power volleyball skills consistently (pass, set and attack). Some players have collegiate playing experience and the rest have competed at the high school level. Players demonstrate an advanced-intermediate to accomplished skill level.

C Division

Middle

The Intermediate division is designed for players and teams with a few seasons under their belt who are looking for more of a challenge. Players can anticipate that 1 out of 3 rallies will contain an aggressive hit. Typically, there are two contacts made prior to returning the ball and some blocking will occur. Players may have specific positions, however; for the most part teams do not have organized attacks.

D Division

Lower/Rec

Recreation division is designed for players who know some volleyball basics and are looking for a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Teams attempt to execute pass, set and attack some of the time. The focus is often on getting the ball over the net rather than executing three hits. Players generally do not have specific positions.

VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

VOLLEYBOO

The West Fargo Park District is having our Volleyboo Adult  Tournament on October 17 & 18 at Rustad Recreation Center. Saturday will be Coed teams playing, and on Sunday will be Women’s teams. The schedules for the tournament will be sent out by the week of October 12.

We will have A, B, C, & D Divisions. We have the right to combine divisions based on how many are registered for each division. Start times may vary depending on the number of registered teams. Some divisions will start in the morning and some will start early afternoon.

Best Dressed Halloween Costume Contest will take place during the tournament.

Register by October 9.

FROSTY 

The West Fargo Park District is having our Frosty Adult  Volleyball Tournament on January 9 & 10 at Rustad Recreation Center. Saturday will be Coed teams playing, and on Sunday will be Women’s & Men’s teams. The schedules for the tournament will be sent out the week of the tournament.

We will have A, B, C, & D Divisions. We have the right to combine divisions based on how many are registered for each division. Start times may vary depending on the number of registered teams. Some divisions will start in the morning and some will start early afternoon.

Schedules will be posted and emailed by the week of January 4th.

Register by January 1.

LEAGUE

Adult Volleyball

Six-player teams will compete in two matches each night of league from February 3 – April 14, 2027 (CoEd) and February 4 – April 15, 2027 (Women’s). An end-of-season tournament will be played; teams will be seated according to team record at end of regular season. League schedules will be posted online the week prior to league starting.

Volley in the Valley

The West Fargo Park District is having our Volley in the Valley Adult Volleyball Tournament on April 10 & 11 at Rustad Recreation Center. Saturday will be Coed teams playing, and on Sunday will be Women’s & Men’s teams. The schedules for the tournament will be sent out by the week of April 5th.

We will have A, B, C, & D Divisions. We have the right to combine divisions based on how many are registered for each division. Start times may vary depending on the number of registered teams. Some divisions will start in the morning and some will start early afternoon.

Register by April 5.
